Dr. Stephen Wardlaw, the author of the world famous CT Muzzleloaders Experiments page, built another improved electric breechloading .22 rifle based on the Ruger 10/22.
The improvements allow it to fire buckshot with smokeless powder up to a velocity of 1420 FPS.
He made 2 videos about it, one showing how well it shoots and the other explaining how it works.
The funniest part of the video was when he says that it only cost him about $85,000 to develop. LOL!
He also mentions in his video that loading with black powder, he can only take about 20 shots before the accuracy degrades.

Video showing how well the rifle shoots and how easy it is to load:

Interesting, tho I think I'll stay with rimfires for now :)

This Plink-King reminds me of the CVA Electra, CVA's muzzle loader that had an electronic ignition.

I would own that little rifle, if it were sold for less than say $600. I really like the idea and the execution.

You gotta love this guy with his passion for invention!

Interesting & fascinating although a bit impractical, but I hope he keeps at it!

I have a CVA Electra that I use in severe weather (rain and snow) It never fails to fire and is very accurate with powerbelts.
Most of the time I use a flintlock.

That's neat! Bet he had fun developing it. Did he ever say what voltage and current he uses?

Not a ML, as stated a breechloader it needs to go in the 22 forum where it may get more looks and answers.
