The metals market shows from .35-.65 /lb depending on volume and how clean.
The way it looks, whatever you pay today, will be a bargain, in a few years. Shipping cost make the difference now.

They said it would go in several flat rate boxes.

When I Was Selling Pure Soft Lead Here, It Was Aprox 40 Lbs For 40 Bucks Delivered.

This Was Indoor Range Lead, Smelted By Me...very Soft, Nice Blue Color On Top.

Others Have Shipped As Much As 70 Lbs In A Flate Rate Box....but Not Me.

Going rate for WW's is about 1$/lb, with pure going a bit more, delivered. But the price seems to be coming down some...

I can buy all of the pure lead I want clean and smelted for 60 cents a pound, but I have to pick it up. This is no big deal because the scrap dealer that has it is just in town.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,

Joe

Duke, Lead is a commodity. You have to check the prices when you make the deal.

Mixed lead:
Assorted clean lead solids, may contain soft or hard lead materials but is to be free of, wheel weights, battery plates, drosses and type alloys.
Equivalent to ISRI code RADIO.

Wheel Weights:
Lead Wheel Weights shall consist of lead wheel balancing weights, May contain steel clips.
Equivalent to ISRI code ROPES

Here is today's quote from http://www.recycle.net/Metal-N/Lead/index.html?affilid=100000

Mixed Lead truck load 0.39 small load 0.65 lbs USD

Lead Wheel Weights truck load 0.27 small load 0.45 lbs USD

these prices are delivered to the recycler. I offer less since I am picking up.

Which or what size FRBs work best for shipping lead. I've got quite a bit and could get rid of some after I smelt it. I think I've got about 1500 lbs of pure stuff to smelt.
