I'm planning on buying an Accurate molds #46-380m . How should i lube it ?
I'm shooting a 45 cal 1:30 knight disc extreme. I powdercoat in all my metalic loading.

But the lube in muzzle loaders is also ment to keep the fouling soft and easier to clean. I say, try it and see what happens. It shouldnt lead.

Why ?
I've shot 20+ shots out of a T/C Hawken .54 using CRISCO or Bore Butter. Just swabbed out after every shot. NO LEADING OF ANY KIND. I've never had to use a brass brush, just fiber.

Used a T/C MAXI cast from a T/C mold.

Do you just smear it on w fingers as you load or do they go through a lube sizer ?

For my muzzle loader I have used the TC bullets but i have the Lyman mold now. I use Bore butter as lube and apply it with my fingers. Never had a problem. I swab every second shot.
