Title says it all. I am looking for the older J style shell holder for my Lyman so I can work up some loads for my old drilling. Looking for the number shell holder I would need.

Thanks

The closest one for that would be the J 13 .

Thank you. I just tore through my reloading chest and found an old RCBS #4 that fits and it cross reference to Lyman 13 just as you said. I found a few short style J #13's on EBAY and will get one soon. I am hoping to work up a load for my drilling using the 155gr Lapua Mega bullet to shoot a deer with this fall. That particular bullet worked great in both a 260 Rem and a 6.5 Rem Mag I used to have. May also try the Norma Oryx as I have good things about that one also.

Thanks again.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they make an J adapter that allows you to use a standard she'll holder so yo don't have to have a collection of J holders and can use the normal readily available shell holders?

BBB, they do but they are not for everyone. My issue with adaptors is they shorten ram travel so the ram cannot reach top dead center. Functionality is OK, but it gives an odd feel to have the ram stop shert of where you know it should.

Using the adaptor is the Last Resort.. With it It also make the set up Push button primer system un usable. i would only use original
there are so many around there cheap enough to buy

I agree I have the adapter but just don't like it as well as an original shell holder.

Anyone have any experience with the 6.5x57R?
