I really like my CVA Optima V2 pistol. Extremely accurate, powerful and a hoot to shoot. But sabots aren't cheap even in bulk, nor are jacketed slugs. Don't care for jacketed slugs either. I'm an enthusiastic (thanks to folks here!) reloading caster with a love for the silver stream. If i'm not mistaken, my pistol has a 1 in 28 twist which is faster than most traditional muzzle loader weapons. This pistol has been out for several years now and I wonder if anyone has found a great, accurate cast lead .50 caliber slug that's wonderful in this gun? I prefer not to use a sabot. Thanks. Don.

I had the same thought when I first saw those. Looks like it would be pretty entertaining to play with and should be quite accurate, what is the recoil like with full diameter bullets? Are you able to hold onto it? I have a 500gr. .492" slick mould from Walt Melander that would likely work well in it.
