I was thinking of making a ramp and just bolting it to the pan with the drippers. Then I can take it off and adjust if needed. May lose a bit of heat but shouldn't e too bad.

Your pan is pretty deep, if you fill it up to the top with lead I would guess that you will get a steady stream of lead and no drips. Your ramp needs to be the same heat as the pan and I would think of thicker material so it will hold the heat better and not cool off. If the ramp is not hot the lead will stick or cool too fast and the drips will not round up well. Just my two cents. Good luck and keep us up to date with your project!

Mic It looks to me like your ramp should be steeper. Guessing, but I'd say between 30 and 45 degrees.

thank you for the advice i was not going to fill it up only just enuf to cover the drippers. i can make the ramp thicker but my gas burner will be sitting nice and close to the ramp.
the ramp is at 28° the pan will be tiped to 12° when in use so that will make a total of 40°.

thank you for your imput.

I ran it today with warm tank water it ran well apart from needing a bigger burner. i used 2kg of lead all up, and id say i got 1.5kg of shot that would be good for reloading.

I am thinking of also making another one some time down the track that would be able to make shot all the way up to bb and maybe even #F sized shot.
