Is anyone using H&G 8 or 10 Cavity moulds with a Lyman bottom pour pot? If so what have you engineered as a mould guide?
They say pictures are worth a thousand words.

Not just for H&G molds, but I have made a few mold guides for others. I have been pretty happy with using pieces of square tubing, either steel or aluminum, of the correct height. I drill and tap threads and mount them to the base plate. Then I cut a couple of pieces of flat bar for guide rails. Polished up or painted, they look pretty nice. You can do without the guide rails. Sorry, I don't have any pictures.

I like that too, especially the method for cutting the sprues. I'm sure it causes much less wear on the mold and sprue plate.

Which Lyman bottom pour pot? I have the Mag25 with the guide from NOE, completely different pot with that guide.

I have the previous version, but I have been thinking of getting the new one.
