Found her in a cold display case and my heart melted. I know she'll be another chamber to feed, but as I grow older I realize it's our duty to get as many of these poor creatures off the street and into a safe nurturing environment.

Well, as it's upside down I figure it must have been born in Australia; Don't know Aussie gun breeds well here, I'm afraid. :)

Would the bullets spin opposite of how they do up here?

No, you can adapt an American-made firearm to shoot there (or an Aussie firearm to shoot here) by holding it upside down and working the trigger with your little finger; It takes some getting used to, but you CAN learn to do it. As you can imagine, aiming IS a problem, sorta have to fake it till you make it, really.

It's a Benelli B 76, 9 mm para. All steel. Total production was south of 10,000. Late 70's attempt by Benelli to get segment of the European police / military market. Alas, no one was in the market for a single stack by then. This one has a serialed box, cleaning brush & rod, Allen wrench for adjusting trigger & iltalian / English manual & unsigned warranty papers. SILES was their importer, but this one doesn't have the typical SILES logo on the slide. In fact no import marks at all. No bar code on box either. Doesn't appear to have been fired much. I put 10 through it just to make sure it worked. Shoots a little high but I can live with it. Been wanting one for several years. Cross another one off the bucket list.

The biggest problem would be the bullets getting disoriented due to the reversed magnetic field and getting lost on the way to the target. They wouldn't be able to figure out where to go.
Lead would be less effected but consistency would be iffy.

There's a right side up model on Gunbroker

I wonder how one retrains an Aussie model to be right side up? Probably some arcane spell involving unobtanium and Loob Grooves...

Nice find! Upside down or right side up, it's a good looking handgun! Congrats and enjoy!

Oh wow...you have the rare anti-gravity model. Shoot it upside down and the bullets never drop at any range.

very nice...a bit envious.

Easy peasy you just have to drink copious amounts of Fosters beer.
