Can you keep a secret? Just don't tell anyone.

We are pickers. We picked them up at the local seafood store 11.99 lb then we order some at Kroger for 5.99 lb they are coming in Monday that would be a big savings.

We need to get that breading to stay on. Thanks for all the ideas.

$5.99 at Krogers would make me a picker too .

I'm going to have to check with my local Kroger. I'd pay $5.99 for a mess of frog legs, for sure!!!

Butcher told the wife they use to stock them but they didn't sell enough, but she could order some. We shall see.

Looks good! If you're a shooter, grabber or gigger you probably pay closer to $55.99 a pound! I usually catch enough in the Summer to last until next Summer but not this year.:(

I've found that store bought farm raised ones are more uniform in size than wild ones. Makes them easier to cook.

Saw some at the local Food City the other day. I almost grabbed a flat of them.

Very true! There's no telling what they cost me if I have to go up and down the riverbank looking for them one at a time. It's sort of like the "free deer" that we get in winter. Nobody wants to know the real cost per pound. [smilie=1:

My best friend in high school and I would shoot them with a recurve bow. Now before anyone calls BS, one of us would blind them with a flashlight, while the other one stood off to the side about 10ft and shoot them. The pond we hunted was only about 20 ft wide, so you could spotlight them all around while standing in the same spot, but was riddled with bullfrogs. Good memories...

50 years ago we used to spotlight them and use baseball bats. Lots of splattered mud and fun.
Been probably 44 yrs or so since I have had a brace of them tasty legs.

Just picked up frog legs there a little smaller 5.99lb 1LB had 8 sets. the 11.99lb 1LB were 4 sets.
So there 1/2 the size.

Talk to the Manager to be sure. I am in IL. They come from the Kroger warehouse. Try Walmart and other Groceries stores in your area.

She fried up a lb. We like the big ones best. But we won't pay 11.99 a lb for them.

Coating stayed on them this time
Hope some of you found them at your Koger store.
