Made a toy for my 7 year old granddaughter. Hopefully we won't get into trouble.

The "A" stands for Addison.

I made this for my 7 yr old granddaughter last year. She likes to chop down milkweed and anything else that's soft enough.
What could go wrong huh?

Edit. I don't know why it's upside down.

The boys will all be jealous but woe be unto him that would try to take it from either of them.

I thought I was being very imprudent making boomerangs for my grand kids.

Good for you; what an awsome prize for a little kid. Perhaps you can help her learn how to use sword and shield correctly so that she is more secure as she grows up.

My 11yo daughter has a machete that was her granddads. That kid is a ninja weedeater, just don't get to close! I have taught her the basics of keeping it sharp and why one should always keep any knife sharp.

Mine lives in Florida but spends a few week here in the summer. Loves to shoot balloons with her Cricket and shorts. Loves to fish, ride 4 wheelers and horses. Last year while out on fishing adventures she got to chopping weeds with my machete. I schooled her on proper stance and how to follow through with the swing so she didn't cut herself or me. My machete is very sharp or it was until she started using it. It's bit many rocks since.

Her two grandmas ( Mimi and Noni ) don't really approve of mine and her rowdy ways. I remarked one day that Pa would be in trouble if either found out I had been letting her use the machete. She said they were overprotective. I said, what about me? She said HUH, your not protective at all!

My machete was a little too big for her to handle right so I made her the little Katana. I stamped her name in the left side and signed the makers mark ( Pa )
While it's pretty sharp in the middle the front 2" is very dull.

Needless to say it stays here with me on a high shelf. She will get it when I think she's ready or when I die.

Wolfer, guaranteed...the first thing outa her mouth will be "Pop Pops" did it. He told me. Karate has added some discipline. She is pretty good with the staff, which I made. But the sword is aluminum and has dull edges....I ain't totally stupid. It's just for looking at and showing off---which she will do. Look what my Pop Pops made! She already thinks I can fix anything. Thank God for super glue and gorilla tape.

Oh yeah, she ratted me out when she was heading back to Florida.
