To everyone who has participated in my sometimes "unusual" threads: I apologize for being unresponsive recently. I obtained the second of two multivertebrae spinal fusions in the last 15 weeks on August 6. This is the third time my guard-keeper has allowed me this liberty.

Recently I've had a lot of time on my hands. About 20 months ago I made a slight error in judgment. I hired the wrong lever action gun maker to convert my Rossi 92 carbine to a close copy of a Winchester 1892 half-pistol grip rifle. The only part he had to supply was the the specific laminated rosewood dyed birch stock blank whose manufacturer, item number, and total price I included - that is, all that was needed was to call or email the reseller to have the stock blank shipped to whatever physical address the gun maker specified.
The "thing" is now with Kris Bonner (Accu-Arms, Missoula, Montana). Wrong stock blank. Wood butchered to the point that, were it a car bondo would be required to conceal "Vega Disease." Mr. Bonner can make the thing shootable, but the stock will still be a mess. . . . However, he said that if the laminated rosewood dyed birch stock blank can be obtained with rough profiling and rough fitting of altered Rossi receiver, his cost to convert the sow's ear to its intended silk purse will would be similar to what need be done to render the butchered stock now attached to become shootable.
Can anyone direct me to such a partially finished and fitted laminated rosewood dyed birch stock blank for this Rossi 92 half-pistol grip? I will not be able to shoot the rifle until next February.
If I'm not making this clear, let me know what I'm doing a poor job of asking about. I'm still on substantial pain medication.
