I am cleaning up a deceased friends estate and ran across a shotgun I didn't know he had. Or what is left of it. I am missing the trigger and firing mechanism. It is a short barrel slug gun with great feel, it would be nice to bring it back to life.

It is a Westernfield Model XNH 565R

It looks an awfully lot like a Winchester; someone may know if the parts are interchangeable. I believe Winchester made many of those store brand shotguns. Numrich may or may not have parts for it. They seem to have a trigger, anyway.

Thanks Skeetx, according to the schematic it looks like I am missing a lot of parts.

I've had good results finding gun parts on Ebay.

Cost more to fix than it is worth? Look it up on GPC cross reference index.

I believe westernfield was a brand name Montgomery Wards put on guns they sourced from savage, Winchester marlin ect. that looks a lot like a 20 guage I bought new at the local hardware store back in the early 80s that was stamped smith and Wesson. I remember back in the day they were some kind of cheap import that smith put there name on. Wasn't a bad gun. Wasn't a wall hanger but it went bang every time. I gave it to my dad and I don't know what he ever did with it.

that gun was made by Noble original model 60-66

+1 on what porthos said. The Gun Parts cross reference does not have the "565R" but the "565" is a Noble 60-66.
