Building a rifle off of a M95 Chilean Short Rifle. New barrel, new stock, keeping the original 7mm Mauser clambering. Looking for suggestions for a scope mount.

I've always been happy with Weaver bases and rings and I like to modify the rear base rather than alter the charger hump on the receiver. Old Redfield style looks good, too. My opinion only.

I have a 1893 Mauser that is scoped. I called Brownell's and got a Leupold solid base which fit and nothing had to be altered or ground on the action.

The Leupold or Redfield one piece bases are my recommendation.

A Leupold or Redfield one piece mount would be my recommendation also.
Good solid mounts that won’t break your bank account. james

if you call around, you might find a B Square one piece base, they had seven or eight notches for rings, they discontinued them, but you can find them now and then, I have one that you need but I need it for a 6.5 swede build!
