I have a 1895G thats unported in the safe !

This gun was purchased new by me and still unfired since it left the factory .
When I bought this thing it was my intention to have it rebored or rebarreled to 50 Alaskan .

Since it has been sitting there for almost 2 years now I think I shall get it out of the safe this week , remove the Leupold 1-4 and mounts from my 336D jacketed bullet rifle and set this thing up to shoot the Ranch Dog 460-425 !

At the moment I have my 1978 vintage 1895 set up for the Ranch Dog 460-350 and my 1895CB set up for the Ranch Dog 460-425 . But I've already killed a deer with the 1895CB shooting the Lyman 330 HP bullet .

That's d--- good shooting...especially with one of those short barreled cannons! I hadn't seen one of them that was unported....or I'd probably have one!

I haven't shot either of my 1895 Cowboys in a long time...too busy with the 50 SHILOH and the VAQUEROS....need to correct the situation soon.

Michael sure knows how to design a boolit. I'm semi-patiently waiting for the 359 190 mould to be available; the 432 265 has worked well for me in the 44s. I guess it is time to buy some 45/70 moulds too.

Thinking of sitting out on the back porch with a cigar and an adult beverage is what gets you through some really bad days at work. I can watch the young Australian Shepherd trying to herd the other mutts around and get a good laugh at his antics....ought to be a treat when he hears the coyotes for the first time later this fall.
