So I'm doing this remodeling job downtown, and the owner is telling me that the building used to be the old newspaper office. The basement is where they had the printing press.

"Must've been a pain getting all that equipment out of here," I said, looking at the steps going up.

"That's not the half of it. They must have had about 5,000 lbs of linotype stacked up down here, and it took us three days to get it all hauled to the dump."

What a waste. It's probably buried in a landfill.

The worst part is that us taxpayers will probably end up paying millions of $$ to get the lino back out of the dump, so it can be dumped someplace else.

Long gone, I'm afraid. This happened when the guy bought the building a few years ago. (Don't you know I'd've been a dump diving fool if I'd known about it when it happened!)

..................I feel your pain man. Had it been me I'd as soon he never mentioned it :-) After you hear something like that it just ruins your whole day.

Yep, like finding a cheerleader you remember from high school at a vice raid. For real.

I dunno about that. If it were me, I'd feel glad that I married the right girl... ;)

In my high school (circa 1966-70), we pretty well could imagine where the cheerleaders would end up.
