If it can be done on a lathe or milling machine or by following a pattern I am Ok but scrimshaw is way beyond me. I tried a rabbit on a knife handle one time... One fellow looked at it and said, "why does that coyote have such long ears", another guy said,"It's not a coyote it's a beaver and he messed up the tail". I no longer do that stuff. You done good!

That is some left over maple from a stock blank.

Smokes okay, but will be better when it builds more cake.

Cut the wood in half, and carve it in. Probably not the best way, but I don't have a bit long enough to drill it.
