Can i tumble lube with jpw over top of already lubed bullets?

Is there any negative things that could happen if I just tumble lubed my already factory lubed bullets with jpw? Would they be too lubed? Could this help with leading? Sorry for all the questions just new to this whole part of cast bullets. I do not have a lube sizer and have a tight budget. Thanks

I have done it with BLL. On Lazer cast that I had with on bad effects. Right at 1500 to date. Actually makes them better.

Lube them up and shoot them. I've cut the jpw with alox 50/50 then add a little mineral spirits for 45/45/10 makes for a great lube.

So you don't see a problem with tumble lubing right over top of the lube that's already on the bullet?

This is a fairly common practice and won't have any ill effects. Commercial cast bullets are often lubed with a very stiff parrifin base lube that withstands shipping and heat well, but may not be the best choice for actual bullet lube. Jpw is a great additive or topper and the high carnuba content makes a great bore conditioner that will reduce cleaning/leading over time.

No problems at all. The double lube works just fine.

It will probably work better than the lube that comes on commercial bullets. I do it all the time with my 30 cal bullets.

On rifle bullets that I knew I was pushing the speed on, I filled the grooves with Ben's Red, then gave them a light coat of BLL to seal them in. They shot great.

Belt and suspenders approach, but hey, it works.

And I am currently running BLL with a chunk of JPW melted into the Alox for the Carnuba.

Love what it does for bores. And I think it dry's harder, less sticky. But I could not tell you how much.

Does not need a lot.

I used BLL over top of old commercial lube to save some hardcast 358 that leaded my revolver. Also used it overtop of some iffy hitek coated 9mm to salvage instead of remelting/casting. No issues with my guns, fixed the leading issues.

Search BLL lube. I use it on my commercial cast with much better results.
