I just noticed my post count dropped from 226 to 196 is there any reason why?

Older threads are deleted occasionally. I can't remember specifics. I imagine it's to help keep room on the server. (?)

I've seen that happen sometimes too. Also, contributions to some threads or forums do not add to the post count.

Posts in The Pit and the buyers and sellers forum do not add to your post count.
I think the Our Town sub forum does, however.

Oops. Swappin' and Sellin'. My mistake.

Your total post count is 245 (at this very moment) but the official count is 196. Post in areas such as the PIT, Humor & Off Topic, and S&S do not count towards your post count.
