Steel case OK but what the heck is the bullet made of? Doesn't cut with a knife and coating scrapes off easy. Got a box for LTC qual, guess I'll take the 40sw & WWWB.
Edit: bullet is magnetic also - steel bullets? Core is lead though. From what I can find on the web, this steel is supposed to be softer than brass. Definitely more than a thous. thick.

Pull a bullet. Place it on an anvil. Smash it flat with a hammer until the jacket ruptures. Peel it apart and test with a magnet. The jacket is probably copper washed steel so thin that the lead core allows it to yield when fired.

Bullet is poly coated as is the case. I'll probably pull one and see how thick the jacket is. Didn't use them for LTC test yesterday, but 102F is not the best weather for testing.
