230 gr TC and W 231 load

I would very much appreciate it if yuo guys could help me with a load for this bullet and powder. I´ve used the search tool but it is very confusing for I´ve seen charges ranging from 4.9 to 5.7 gr. I´m looking for a charge that will give me aproximately 750-820 fps.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like .45 ACP, but a clarification is in order.

I work my loads up using the same data as for other cast boolits of the same or similar weight. The truncated cone seats a bit deeper in the case than a round nose, so do work it up.

Im my Ruger Blackhawk revolver I use 6.0 grains and get a velocity of 924 FPS Muzzle Velocity---1,035 in my Marlin Camp carbine

i would start at 4.5 and go till you are happy but i bet it will be near 5 grs.

That 230TC is a Lee mould, right? :)

I cast it with wheel weights and load them over 5.3g W231 for a factory dupilcate load. I don't know the speed, but it hits to same POA as factory 230 ball.

I like the large metplat and if push came to shove, I'd hunt with it.
