Vintage .455 S&W picture wanted

I have a triple lock in .455 from about 1916, and I would like to reproduce a few boxes to hold the rounds. Does anyone have a box top they might be able to photograph full size for glueing on the boxes? Thanks, the toolman.

Thanks Outpost, but what I am looking for is the type of box that holds 50 rounds. Since S&W made the revolvers in this country, surely some cartridge company had to have loaded rounds in this country. It would be neat to find the label picture of ones with the S&W logo on the lid. But I would like any label of the time period, around 1916. I want to reproduce the actual size box and lid and photocopy the label and attach it to the top. I probably only make a half dozen of them because the brass is a bit of hassle to make. I have one of the packets like you show, I think mine has a 43 date on it. Thanks for your posting of the smaller box of 12 ctg. I think I could use a box for the 45 Colt, and reduce the height of the sides and come out with the right size of box. The .455 is the same diameter as the Colt but about 3/8 of an inch shorter. Best regards, John the toolman.

If I remember correctly (and that's asking a lot these days) a large number of N framed Smiths were imported back in the late fifties or early sixties. They became nicknamed "Mountie guns" as they were turn ins from the Northwest Mounted Police.

Nice, big revolvers (I have one) but it seems the original ammo was never imported in any quantity. Some unknown gunsmith found that if a slight recess was cut on each chamber, the guns would then accept .45 Colt...check yours. The original .45 Colt bore size was .454", so the .455 was close enough and my gun proves it by shooting quite well.

I have a small quantity of .455, but all the little packets look like Outpost 75's. I can't recall any commercial ammunition every being made by any American company.....doesn't mean it didn't happen, I just don't remember ever seeing it.
