STAR SUPER B 9mm largo owners ....need a little help.

i have a 1953 star super in 9mm Largo....and i bought 8 magazines from numrich's (used of course)

there are 5 main parts of the magazines ...

the body case
the foot plate
the spring
and a 2 piece part i'll call the round pusher-upper

the pusher upper that actually makes contact with the cartridge ...all 8 are fine.

however... the secondary piece that fits into the pusher upper and makes a contact with the mag spring
has 2 wings that were folded at a 90 degree angle that were stamped metal ....well...on 4 of them one wing is worn away and the other is cracked.

does anyone know where those can be found?

numrich has no parts for them....google is worthless and ebay is zip.

and help is appreciated.

That's a toughie...off hand I don't know where you could get just that part. Seems like you'd have to cannibalize one out of a junker magazine if you can locate one. Finding such things is often dependent on persistence, revisiting the various gun parts sites. A long shot, you might try calling and chatting with the folks at Triple K Magazines. They make after market mags for this and many other older pistols, and perhaps you could get the part from them without buying an entire magazine...if they use the same design follower. Worse comes to worse, maybe you can find some thin sheet metal (even a piece of a tin can might work for material) and carefully make the part using some tin snips. I doubt if any dealers will be willing to part out a good magazine for you. You might also try Bob's Gun Shop in Royal, Ark. Sometimes they have come through for me on unusual items.

Check with SARCO I think they have them. Might have to buy complete mags though.

I have seen the two parts silver soldered together.

Make the part or try to find a new mag. Also try jack first gun shop they got some hard to find parts

i wonder if making the entire 2 pieces together as 1 out of delrin would work?
