got the 500 magnum ...what boolit?

just got the 8-3/8" s&W 500 MAG.

got lotza lead...and i can mold like a machine!

BUT before i goof up... i think i'd like shooting powder coated 400 grains
and go as fast as accuracy will allow WITHOUT a GAS CHECK ...BUT

before i order the mold ....what / where do i find loads to power this beast without blowing myself up?
what powder?

Well it is the weekend. I bet that the guys who do have them and shoot them are all out hunting or at the range. It might be Monday before someone can see your post and reply. I always wanted a 500 S&W, so you are a lucky guy, Congratulatons.

NOE is having a sale right now. Just cast some 500/400 grain swc using the cup nose insert. they shoot well with trail boss and AL 8. tried some at about four hundred yards, I think they'll stay accurate at least that far. Vey nice mold and a very nice plain base bullet

I really like Lee's 440 loaded with 34gns of IMR4227, it gives 1010fps out of my 4" S&W. It has about the same burn rate as H110, but is bulkier.

I shoot the lee 440 in my encore 15” encore. I recently received the mihec 700gr but haven’t had luck loading any yet.
