I and a few others go to the Ruger forum. I've been there almost as long as I've been here, maybe longer...
There have been a LOT of board crashes lately, and today is an SQL message. Whazzat mean?

I don’t go to Ruger forum but I do know what SQL is. Basically all of the messages, user accounts, images, etc are stored in a database. SQL is the language for managing this relational database. The forum is basically a large database so if you’re getting a SQL error, the forum isn’t accessible until someone finds the error(s) in the database.

In technical terms, it’s busted... try again later.

You will usually get that when the forum software makes a database call and the database software has crashed or is not running for some reason. I'm a Linux server administrator, this is my area of expertise.

Gunboards has been doing the same thing. There was a couple days there that you just couldn't get in. They seem to have it fixed though.

Good. I only go to three or four forums on a regular basis, and being cut short is, well, unpleasant.[smilie=1:

could someone with access to RugerForum.com tell one of the moderators there than a new member can't register until they update their reCAPTCHA settings?
Thanks.
