I wanted a boolit to call predators with that was fur friendly and a good killer. Flat nose boolits work pretty good in my experience. Looking through Tom's catalog I saw this one and thought it would be worth a try. I'm shooting a Ruger Gunsite Carbine chambered for the .308 Winchester. Other cast boolits have grouped very well in it.
I haven't shot a jacketed bullet in it for close to a year, though as nice as this barrel is inside it didn't matter much going back and forth between the two types. I put some Hoppes' in the bore yesterday to clean out some carbon and lube.
This morning I set a target out at 50 yards and my chronograph up with the start screen 10 feet from the muzzle. Starting with the boolits lubed with the White Label 2500 I shot 5 shots at the left side bull. Next up were 5 boolits lubed with Ben's Liquid Lube at the bull on the right. I alternated back and forth between lubes in 5 shot groups. Time between groups was 10 to 15 minutes as I had a couple handguns to shoot. The bulls are 2 inch.
What I thought was interesting was the way the information changed as I shot, maybe you will too.

I like this boolit! I don't know how much longer I can shoot 5744 before they price me right out of the market. $38 a pound is too much for my blood. I'll probably go back to Reloader 7 in the future.
