my own load with that bullet and powder is 41.0 grains
I have to seat the bullet deep to chamber in a Marlin, so crimped in the normal spot your 39 gr load should be a good place to start.
..

edit to add a WELCOME!

I have had success with a number of powders for the 310 Lee in my 444. 4198, RE-7, and 5744 have all shot well. That boolit has been my elk hunting boolit at a muzzle velocity of about 1800 fps (all shots are close range around here in the "rainforest"). I no longer hunt elk now but that boolit at that velocity was always decisive at under 125 yards. Nowadays, I just shoot a plain base 265 gr SWC at 1250 fps for fun.
