never put a stainless steel brush in a good bore.
but i have three mosin nagant carbines with rusty bores. i have done some long clean proceedures in the past to try to improve poor/rusty bores.
yesterday i tried something new...and it was quick!
naval jelly( rust remover) on a ss brush....40 strokes, let it sit for 10-15 min, patch out, and do it again.......then regular copper cleaning with number 9/or sweets 7.62.
bingo less than one hour from sewer pipe to service very good bore.
