what is the best way to go about tuning a revolver load for accuracy? I have never worked on loading for accuracy in a pistol. Im starting out with a S&W 460xvr. Tried a load today and got two different groups one high and one about 3in lower dont know what that means both groups was about 2in at 50yds the load was 39gr of lilgun with a wlrm primer and 335gr cast performance bullet? any sugestions are apreciated.

first shooting a handgun from the bench is alot harder than shooting a rifle from the bench but the same technics apply , every thing done the same for every shot. do you use a scope / red dot sight or iron sights ?

different weight boolits & the speed that there shot at greatly affects POI in hand guns .
slow heavy boolits have longer barrel time shooting hi .
faster lighter boolits with lesser barrel time will shoot lower.
factoring in more or less recoil just worsens the affect.
i support my fore arms when testing pistol rnds , more realistic as far as feild conditions go .
