I am making up some cast boolets for a friend and don't have access to his pistol to check the cylinder and barrel. These are fairly soft, plain based 10.6 bhn plinker boolets. Can I size them to .358? I was only going to get a hundred ready, till he gets a chance to check them against his revolver. Thanks, hc18flyer

Mine has .358 cylinder throats, but I regularly shoot Valiant .357 RNFP coated lightly with LLA with NO problems and excellent accuracy.

I size all mine at .358" for shooting through over a dozen revolvers. I have no leading problems at all with that diameter.
Hope this helps.

I also size all my 38/357 to .358. Good accuracy and no leading.

Sounds great, .358 it is. And Tac 1 lube, should work fine! I recently bought a used 6 cavity MP 360 640. My first 6 banger, really high production compared to my 2 cavities! hc18flyer

both of mine have .357ish throats as well. coated bullets work okay, but regular cast, leads up.
There is a member on here - or who advertizes on here that apparently does a great job throating cylinders, as well as other machining. Although my mind is weak on a monday and I cannot remember who that is. I need to contact them myself as well and send him my cylinders.

Me too! or should that be all in caps. LOL
Been a long hot day with temperatures in the back pits at our range over 38C - close to 100F, Drank lots of water and loved the heat.
