Nosler Partition from when they were in Ashland

I was sorting out my bullet cabinet and found these.

First picture shows the two piece box from Ashland, Oregon. The yellow box is an early box from Bend, OR.

I thought you would like to see the workmanship that went into the original Partition. Appears the cannalure was cut on the lathe.

Why is Nosler located in Bend when it started out in Ashland?

Early on, Nosler was doing well and needed to expand. They had petitioned the city government to expand and the then (and now) Liberal mindset of the Ashlanders sent Nosler packing to Bend which welcomed them with open arms.

Pretty neat old boxes; if they were mine I might drop a line to Nosler to see if they might be interested, if they have a historical display at their Bend facility.
Leupold has a modest display of some of their earliest equipment at their facility in Beaverton; not large but still pretty interesting.

Those are like a few in my “accumulation” of component bullets acquired over the years.
I have shot some of them in my rifles, and their accuracy was astonishing. I hope to use some of them to hunt with in future Whitetail Seasons to come.

I've one of those old yellow boxes, .30 cal 150gr Spitzers. My Dad gave it to me when I came home from the service with a WINCHESTER M70 in .308, some how they got buried. Found the box in a stash from 42yrs ago, in an old ammo can. Clean & dry after all this time. 40 of them, beautiful bright & shiny as the day they were made. Wish I still had that WIN .308 to shoot them in.

I still have quite a few of the old lathe turned nosler partitions . 50 count MTM box loaded in Win 30-06 cases with milsurp 4831 in boiler !
