Build a induction furnace big enough for me to run my 1” and 1 3/8” head insulator pins through to melt the lead off? I tried the fire pit thing suggested by another user and got maybe a dozen to melt in the 2 hours I had it burning. The rest will have to be done again and my pile of these are getting bigger. I was thinking if I had a induction unit big enough to run those pins through I could melt the heads off rather quickly. I’m just not that useful with small electronics. Hopefully someone can help!

Haven’t built one big enough but I think that’s gonna be a very expensive proposition.

Acetylene, or propane, torch with a rosebud tip ? Just pass each pin under the flame.

I'd avoid using an oxy-acetylene as that burns HOT and could possibly vaporize lead, just my .02.

I don’t keep bottles here or I’d probably do that I’m thinking I should just melt them into the big smelting pot when I alloy a big batch

I just put mine in my regular smelting pot. It took longer than wheel weights because they made less contact with the sides of the pot. You might also try using the flame from a weed burner. Another idea would be to cut the head of the pin off with a band saw or chop saw. They would make better contact with the pot that way and melt faster.

Yep, Rocket stove is what I'd make for smelting range scrap or insulators.
I'll add...I would not use one with WW, too difficult to control heat and I'd fear zinc contamination.
