Has anyone by chance used the NEI #266 mould ? And in particular if you have , did you use it in a 444 Marlin ?

This mould casts a 330 grain GC design that to me is a cross between round nose flat point and truncated cone .

I do however think it might be a good one to try in a 444 [smilie=1:

6 pt,
I believe that bullet was originally developed by J.D. Jones back in the late 1970's for the .44 Magnum for Silhouettes after he saw how well the Lyman 350 gr. 457192 knocked down the full footed 200 Meter rams from my .45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk.:mrgreen:

His original bullet did not have the gas check shank as the later design did.

I have some of his bullets (non gas checked) if you want to give them a try.

Thanks for the offer ! I think I might just go on and order a 4 cavity mould [smilie=1:

I have Ranch Dog moulds in 265 , 285 and 300 . As well as a Boomer Mikey 315 grainer . And soon hopefully a 207 grainer . I figure this 330 grainer should be the next step before Ranch Dog makes his 350 grain mould available .
