View Full Version : Can we get WYSIWYG BACK on the "advanced" option for editing threads???

I had done a lot of group buys for multiple items, most recently a LOT of turned wooden mold tappers.
I was able to enter the advanced mode for editing the opening thread, and install a TABLE in the post, and edit the nature of the table manually by choosing the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) option for the table, and do things like slide the columns left or right, and change cell heights, etc, so that the images, descriptions, orders, zip codes, etc didn't waste space in the fixed table width.

I am doing a discussion on programming a PID controller, and went looking for WYSIWYG, and see that after the recent forum software update, that option is missing. I tried setting the column width, etc, manually, but our software doesn't recognize current HTML or SSI settings. When I try to modify the table settings manually with proper codes, the table merely disappears.

So, am I missing something or can we get WYSIWYG back?

Here's a admin link for turning it on:

When I am in my user CP, this is what I see, only two options:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls << this one is selected, but WYSIWYG is not part of it

When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.

The instructions show THREE interface types, but only two are offered.

Thanks in advance
