I've purchased one of Mihec's dual cavity 525gr Lyman clone slug molds. I've been casting the Lee 1oz slug for years, and 00 buckshot. Looking forward to this new mold.

Anyone have experience with it? Planning to use the reloading info in Lyman's shotshell reloading handbook 5th edition. Other recipes would be appreciated.

Great mold, great slug, great result.221219 witnessed by bikerbeans ~ 100 yds.

Here's a thread detailing the best load I found. Did some testing with other combos and posted when I got the mold but this is the easiest and best I've found. 3" groups at 100 yds.

Moonie, I have had very good experience with that mold, using Federal 12S4 wads, hard cards underneath the slug to adjust crimp height, Federal GM 2&3/4" hulls and 800-x powder. Fired from rifled barrel Remington 870.
