Winchester is selling a 3" .410 000 buckshot load containing 5 pellets with a roll crimp. I would like to reproduce this load. Any ideas on wad and powder to use?

Those articles help point me in the direction I want to go. But the shell I'm looking at is 5 000 buckshot roll crimped. I think they are loaded over a wad or wad stack, not inside a petal wad. .36" just fits inside a .410 shell. I need to weigh 5 of my Lee 000 buck. to be able to use equivalent shot weight loads. I was just hoping someone had preceded me in similar development. The nearest load I can find is 4 00 buck. in a BPI stretch wad Winchester "AS HS" hull, I'm assuming they mean a super X HS hull, 14 gr Little gun and Winchester 209.

Please check your loading manual. I think you might have meant to say 14 gr. of lil gun, Not "44 gr." that is a
disaster waiting to happen even iffin ya could get it in the hull... by the way 14 gr will be pretty hot... jmho... Bobby

Yep. 44gr would almost fill 1/2 the hull.

jdfoxinc, please edit your post with the right amount of Lil Gun powder, before someone gets hurt.
A lot of shooters come to copy and paste information, have nothing of their own to offer.
Thanks.
