pretty much my experience with he SDB

bought mine when it cost $129.95 so I'd say I've got my $$ out of it

LAH thanks for sharing and it's reassuring to hear a Dillon user admit that things wear out and break. I load on a different progressive I bought used for a very good price and ALSO admit that if a SDB would have come along for the same costs I'd be using that just as well.

Again Well done Sir!

The Dillon SDB is a good press, think I got mine in 1992 and can’t count the rounds that went thru it. And you are right with that short throw it makes it better than some of the upper end presses. Since I am a handgun shooter I didn’t go for the higher end presses, but a few years back the bushings were getting pretty loose and I know they are wear parts but I call Dillon and to my surprise they sent my all new bushing free. Now that I built a case feeder it will so much nicer to use, my right hand never comes off the handle.

I enjoyed your video , and yes things wear out or break. Last batch of 45 acp I have been getting a few primers that punch out bottom leaving sides in pocket , and those buttons are a pain to get out to remove case . So I notched and soldered a copper wire to station 2 and 3 , for easy removal , had thought about this for awhile and wished they came with a tab on them.

I am another SDB fan, and have loaded several thousand rounds a year on mine for the past 14 years. I have replaced the bushings, and a few other parts due to wear, usually the primer feed tip, and advance pawl, more than once.....normal wear and tear. Dillon has always sent me replacement parts for free, on request. Great little machine!

I have had a toggle link arm break , center shell plate bolt break primer feed tube tips go bad and dillon always sends out replacement parts , today I called as my old square deal b had slop and needs rebuilt , I offered to pay for parts as I was ordering other little parts to and the customer service representative would not let me .
I am always impressed with dillon and there prompt courteous service , I explained that I bought this press used and was more then happy with its use and service , and he still said it was under warranty and they were glad to send parts .
