A friend and I got this mold for shooting black powder in the .40 S&W case out of a Bond Arms derringer, because we wanted a reloadable, low-powered, but big bore round to carry around the farm. With 13 grains of 3Fg it is a bit more powerful than the old .41 Remington rimfire.
This bullet should also be suitable for .40 S&W automatics, if you want a flatnosed bullet of that weight, and it would be a dandy light weight bullet for .38-40 revolvers, having enough lube capacity for black powder use with SPG lube.
