I've had this pot for around 15 years. It's my understanding Lyman no longer supports them.
The "control arm" I have the problem with is what you use to open and close the lead spout. The arm
is anchored at the top of the pot and midway along the arm is the valve actuator that is raised and lowered.
between the anchor and the valve is a piece of music wire that acts a spring to close the valve. Mine is broken.
I have no idea how it's anchored or it's shape...I never paid any attention to it.
Can anyone help. I believe it a simple piece of music wire but can't figure out how it was shaped or installed.
Help please.
Thanks!

It runs along the bottom of the "control arm". Left side facing pot goes under the arm into the pivot point area. Right side of "music wire goes up into a hole in the arm and is bent over 90 deg. Wire seems to be shaped into two humps going away (down) from the control arm. One hump on each side of the valve actuator.

This is off the instruction manual.

Item 21 Lever Spring**** 2999087

That solves the mystery.
Mine broke at the valve actuator. I thought there were two separate pieces.
The illustrations really help. I have the correct size music wire. After I drain the pot
and take the actuator out I'm pretty sure I can make one.
Thank you very much!
