Been looking for a lever gun in 32-20 for some time now, wanted a Winchester '92 type action, but prices were pretty steep, even on the Brownings and new Winchester Limiteds. A vendor that does local gun shows, has had a Marlin Cowboy, new in the box for a couple years and it has never sold, so I took it off his hands two saturdays ago. Gave him $565 out the door, and think I got a fairly good buy. Already have ammo loaded up, so it if functions through the action, I'm in business. I can't find it in the Blue Book of Gun Values, but some recent posts on other forums indicate they go upwards of $700 for NIB, as there were only 500 or so made. I'll be shooting it in Cowboy matches, along with my set of Old Model Ruger Single Sixes that are converted to .32 H&R; should be a good combination to trade off with my .44 Special stuff. Here's a pic of it.

I kind of like it, for a Marlin.

Here's hoping ya like it :drinks:I had one of the first1894cl rifles when they reintroduced them a while back . I was much less than impressed with it , the issues the rifle had were fixable . The issues Marlin made because of there refusal to fix the carbine are much harder to repair now .

It is easy to love the 32-20 , I started slinging the lightwieght bullets out of my .308 before I even had a 32-20 to use . It got me hooked real good , low noise , economical , accurate and lays the critters down good . The load I've been using is subsonic , I think the next time I load the cases I'll try for a higher velocity load and see what happens .

...............9.3x62AL has been campaigning one of those for some years now. Also has one in 25-20. He used it as his 'walk around rifle' strafing ground squirrels one year up in Cedarville, CA. It'd turn the little varmints inside out :-)
