You will need some added tin to make #2 from Linotype and COWW's Lyman #2 is balanced percentage of tin and antimony. Linotype has higher percentage of antimony so you have to add some tin. Pewter is easiest but solder will work too.

Plug the COWW and Lino amounts into the alloy calculator. Then start adding tin until it equals the percentages listed in the calculator list for Lyman #2.

It is by far my favorite alloy to create. I can use it for .223 auto loader and other rifles at full power or cut it with plain 50/50 to make a nice alloy for most general uses.

8 pounds WW, 2 pounds Linotype, .4 pounds of lead free 95% tin solder. Move percentages over starting with 4.81% under tin...

Mixed Alloy Tin % Antimony % Arsenic % Copper % Silver % Lead % Weight Est. Hardness
4.81% 4.62% 0.19% 0.19% 0.00% 90.2% 10.4 14.2
