So, I've got this old Lyman 45,and I'm having issues with it binding on only the up stroke. I only use it for two bullets, a 180 .401, and a 300 .452 gc. It ONLY happens on the 45cal bullet, That have been previously sized, nose first. (I nose first size, which goes better, heat treat, then check and lube) the bullets go in relatively easily, but I've got to use both hands, under the handle and basically do a reverse squat, pushing with my legs to get it to budge. And a lot of times I have to give the cross bar a good number of hefty whacks with a deadblow hammer. Once the bullet initially moves, it's easier.
But the 401 bullet goes nice and smooth.
I did find out that my 300-452 mould was dropping quite large, at .464, so it's in the process of being replaced. But the bullets I'm having issues with have already been sized, in this die.
Any ideas?
