After reading past and present posts I compiled some loads to try with my Howa 1500 and a RCBS 100gr mold (104 as cast) . I tried some loads with 4227[smilie=b:all over the place. Next a 3 shot group of 12gr 2400 & 12.5 2400 best:drinks: and 3 loads with imr 4895 (21,21.5,22 gr) weighed all powder charges but not boolits:oops: will be back for more loads of 2400 to try.

Try a bit more speed with the 4895. The fliers are interesting thought. I'm having trouble getting 6mm gas checks. Do Hornady still make them although I see them listed in the Hornady catalog.

I had the same good shooting with the RCBS boolit and 12.5 gr. 2400. The Saeco 85 grain & the Lyman 96 grainer works great also. I found that 18 grains of H-4198 was another accurate combo.

Now, I am hooked on the .25 caliber and am getting set to try some 6.5 mm loads in a .256 Newton caliber Mauser I came by a few months ago.
