Man, I am not one known to be often lucky. But a short time ago, I was perusing gunbroker one night as per usual and just making a wish list and noticed this nice new Model P in .44-40 was on there, and so in passing I just dropped a bid of $355. That was more to mark it so I could check on it later than to be a serious offer, and I forgot about it. And apparently so did everybody else! I got a notice last night that I had won the thing! After all of the bids I have placed, just to let it ride...... this one finally made it through and I got a great deal. As I said, I'm certainly not the lucky type, but I think it finally happened. :)

That's a good looking six shooter. You never know when the gavel will drop in your favor but it did this time. Congrats. Let us know how it shoots.

Beautiful. Is it a Uberti? I want one just like it to go with the 44-40 carbine I'm slowly building! Let us know how it shoots, please. Great snag.

It's an Uberti, one of the Cimarron selection. I'll tell how it shoots when I get it. Those are the auction photos. I just send the payment today.

I have a Uberti Cattleman in 44/40 WCF x 4-3/4", made in late 2012. It is FLAWLESS, and shoots SAECO #446 right where the sights look at 25 yards with several powders that provide 875-900 FPS--Herco, Unique, and 2400. That last powder leaves a bit of grit in its wake, I don't think 14.0 grains of 2400 in those caverous cases churns up enough pressure to burn itself efficiently. It is accurate, though--carbine or revolver.

I just got a Bisley last weekend. They are great looking revolvers, hope mine shoots as well as it looks.
