This one is not for me or mine folks. This one is for the daughter of a co-worker of my wife. She sits right next to her, and from what I hear, this news is destroying her. Steph is a good caring person and my wife asked me if I would do this for her. My wife does not ask for much, nor often.

Here is what I know.

Sydney is 3 years old. Steph her mom is a single parent and this is what she posted on facebook.

Steph Rindahl is feeling overwhelmed.

I don’t know the right words to write but here’s what I know. Sydney had an ER visit yesterday due to a stomach ache and not wanting to walk. The blood work seemed off and concerning enough to admit her to Sanford Children’s. Today she was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. She’s getting a port placed tomorrow and starts treatment immediately. I’ll be creating a Caringbridge and updating that when I’m ready.
She wears her heart on her sleeve and will help anyone in need and this breaks my heart.

All thoughts and prayers gratefully accepted. I'll update as I hear information.

Looked up St Judes, nearest is in Springfield Mo. Fur piece from here. Mayo Clinic is closer. But I do know that in some cases the doctors here in Fargo work very closely with those from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn.

Father, No one knows why a child comes down with Leukemia and it is breaking her mother's heart. Please bring comfort and healing to Sydney and take the fears associated with this devastating illness. Please hold their hands as they make the numerous decisions necessary for Sydney's for her treatment. Please Father, I pray that You grant my/our prayers and heal this young lady. AMEN

Cancer is not in her brain or spine. Good news.

Prayers from Lori and me. The port is a wonderful thing....with it I'm not "supposed" to pick up anything heavier than a gallon of milk w/ my left arm. It sure made chemo more bearable, as well as all the extra meds they infused me with.

If there is a Cancer Treatment Center of America nearby I sincerely recommend them. And no, they don't pay me to say so....

Wow! Isn't it amazing how after praying for a healing/miracle, we are surprised when we get one??? I'll always be fascinated by how that works. But thank the Lord Jesus Christ for whatever He did in this. That is one beautiful young lady!
