I own a whole bunch of NOE and MP molds, and a couple of Mountain molds as well. I don’t own one from Accurate, but I hear nothing but good things about them. I’m wanting to try a new heavy 30 caliber in hopes of getting better performance than I’m getting from the NOE 230 and 247, both of which have noses that are just a tad too fat to seat reliably 100% of the time. Does anybody here shoot any of his heavy designs to give feedback?

The one I’m leaning toward is the 31-235H because of the tapered nose.

Dont believe that one will work at all. Looks like it tapers from .311 to .300 down to the ogive. If that is the case it wont even come close to chambering. If its for an AR and you are going to PC the nose should be about .298 down to the front drive band. The front drive band also should be around .100 long

I like the 245B or 245BG for hunting however there can be feeding issues, I use the Lancer mags and have no issues with them.

I’m not planning on powder coating.

I will take a look at those. Are you shooting them from a 1:8 twist?

Ask Tom at Accurate for his recommendation.

After running a couple hundred luded cast bullets down my 300 my bolt was completely full of lead. I'd reconsider PC'ing if running in a semi

Yes, 1-8"

My AR has at least 5000 conventionally lubed rounds down the barrel. I have to occasionally scrub lube residue off the bolt but I haven’t had any leading problems. I just can’t seem to get it to group with anything over 200 grains.
