Turning the Lee 453-230-TC into 200 plain base?

Has anyone milled off the top of a Lee 452 230 TC(standard lube groove) and turned it into a 200 grain plain base?
If so, how did it work?
I would like to have that TC mold in a 200 grain version with a plain base.

I've heard of others on this forum milling off their molds and getting lighter boolits, I think it was with lube grooved. He was happy with the result

I did the exact thing ! Mill off about .075 to .080 from the top of the mould , you may also have to take a little off of the top of the mould handle piviot / hinge bolt head to clear the bottom of the sprue plate when opening .
you will now have a 200gr TC flat base bullet ( shoots excellent)
