I am getting a click then boom with the Win triple 7 muzzleloading 209 primers, is it the nature of the beast?. I then tried some Remingtom Kleanbore mz primers and no delay when I pull the trigger. All loads were Triple 7 pellets in a .50 cal inline. I am also getting a ring after my first shot so it is all most impossible to load a second shot without running a wet patch down the bore. any suggestions on some pellets that won't ring.

thats triple 7 for you. often leaves a crud ring. Your user manual should say that you should swab between shots to keep this crud ring out of the barrel.

Try some Pyrodex, it does not leave the crud ring.

Triple7 i believe is sugar based.

I've never used the pellets but have heard and it mkes since that they would be harder to ignite. How about trying regular nonpelitized powder.

crud ring will be even worse with T7 loose powder.

corvette8n, you are surely wasting money by buying 209 primers especially PACKAGED for muzzleloaders. Just buy some good ol 209 primers in the reloading section for about half the price.
