It seems like a long time ago that my daughter and her husband told us that they were pregnant. Today little Alex entered the world.

Congrats, the 1st one is always very special. So is the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. Our first granddaughter lived with us for 14 months. It was great coming home from work and having her greet me at the door. Now, I tell them I have to see them every week.

Got that right, I'm pawpaw Steve. I have 11 of them and counting, youngest about 1 1/2 years, oldest is 13. Nothing like it in this world, and thankfully I'm young enough to enjoy them for many years, I'll be 50 this month. Only half of my kids have had kids so I will be having many more.

Well...due to my work schedule (200 miles from home)...I didn't get to see him until Friday night. It was wonderful to hold him. My wife told me she's jealous...will all the people in the hospital she got to hold him for about 3-5 minutes before passing him off to someone else...I got to hold him for over an hour...and he listened intently to my hunting stories....I think he just liked hearing a male voice. He seemed mesmerized.

Anyway...thanx for all the great "best wishes"....I appreciate it.

Congratulations! In the op photo he seems to be thinking "where's my BB gun?" I just got my first grandchild boy a week and a half ago. Grandma & I get to watch him while Mom & Dad go out to eat tomorrow night- I can't wait!

Nice...I'll get a lot more time with him starting in June when my daughter has to go back to work. My wife agreed to watch him during the work hours. I'll get my little Alex fix all the time then. I work a customer service job so when nothing is scheduled...I can be home....I can already see a clear schedule ahead (I make my own schedule...for the most part)...haha
