Just finished using the stands that I built for the first time and love them. I have been toying with the idea for a while now and finally got around to building them. I think the best part is not the riser but the 12 degree angle I put on them. The brass slides to the back and stays in the shell holder as it should. Going to get started on my powder dispenser stands next. And then my mini lathe and my vice.

All will be mounted using T Track when I get my new benches finished.
Now to just find time for that.......

Looks good. I am wondering how good the bullet stays in place. You said you just got done using it so I guess it works fine. Cheers.

For years we used angled presses everybody used shims to bring them vertical. Now we raise and angle them. The cycle continues. Great looking work.

Most of my reloading is with big fat boolits so I have no problems with the angle. Haven't tried my 22 Hornet yet, that may be a different story.

I think you will be fine as I just remembered my Lyman spar T or what ever it is called is tipped back a bit and I use that for 22tcm and 223/5.56.

Nice looking work. I bought a minilathe (Chinese, of course) and just finished stripping it and rebuilding it to get it to function to my satisfaction. The basics are there, just not the QC in construction.

Nice looking stands but I have never warmed up to the backward tilt.

Agree with Walter above.DIY allows you to fine tune the project to applications that suit the builder.

I like the Press mounted "on" the bench -- replaced my lachmiller with a CH "H" press and made a stand similar to C-dubb's for my wee lyman tru-line --

Here are 2 stands that I have made for my presses. First 1 had needs to be remade, it was a small riser that got modified to mount a press upside down.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180330/e33bf4a97c63e12bab6296a252a4e0fd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180330/d82402104a2328ef3dc972181e60c260.jpg

I built this one to haul back and forth to the range. The RCBS Jr can be mounted upside down on this mount.

Do you use a router to cut the groove for a T mount?

I used mortise and tenons. Probably overkill. You could just butt joint and screw with deck screws.

And glue.
