I have a real nice M96 Swede so I thought I'd post my question here. I was given a quantity of 6.5x55 brass than is head stamped what appears to be "nny". Does anyone know the manufacturer? Thank you.

Same as PPU. Yugoslavian ammo. Do a search for cartridge collectors headstamps

I have used Prvi Partizan (PPU/NNY) 6.5x55 brass for several years and like it. I'm probably biased since I picked up quite a bit of it free at the range over the years, and don't have experience with a variety of brass brands. Sized minimally in an FL die, i.e., just enough to chamber easily, I expect 8-10 reloads and often a few more before the neck cracks. I anneal every 3-4 loadings. Even if I had to buy brass I'd say nny is as good as any of the other non-premium brands.

Privi Partisan (nny) is good brass.

I've come to prefer PPU brass from Serbia in several high intensity calibers. I like it.

I have a 1898 96 Swede and have used PPU/NNY brass for several reloads. Got several cases from my grandfather a few years ago and he'd had the brass for at least 30 years before that. Have had zero problems with it. Wouldn't hesitate to use it if I were you.

Nny and PPU, prvi partisan is excellent brass. Anneal when required they will show cracks after a while, I have casings that have been loaded more than 20 times. The ammo is ok the j-thingys are under size and a bit hot.
Be well
